MT5 Web Trader User Guide

Trade with the world's #1 oil derivatives liquidity provider

The MT5 Web Trader provides seamless access to the financial markets without the need to download software, directly from your browser. It is structured into several essential areas that you need to navigate effectively: the Market Watch, the Navigator, the Chart Panel, and the Trading Panel. This guide will walk you through each section to help you get the most out of your trading experience on the MT5 web platform.

Market Watch

The Market Watch section in the web trader gives you a real-time view of available financial instruments, displaying quotes, price changes, and key statistics.

Key Features:
  • Click on any instrument to open a price chart or place a trade.
  • The search bar allows you to quickly locate any instrument by name or symbol.
  • You can customise which instruments are shown by right-clicking and selecting “Symbols”, enabling you to manage your watchlist with ease.

Navigator

Unlike the desktop version, the Navigator in the web trader is simplified. This section contains your accounts and lets you switch between live and demo accounts seamlessly.

Key Features:
  • Manage multiple accounts and switch between them in one click.
  • Indicators and Expert Advisors are not available in the same way as the desktop platform, but you can still manage basic account functions like deposits or withdrawals.

Chart Panel

The Chart Panel is the core area where you analyse price movements, and it functions similarly to the desktop version, with a few adjustments for web-based use.

Key Features:
  • You can right-click on the chart to customise it, change chart types (candlestick, line, bar), and add technical indicators.
  • Timeframes range from 1-minute charts to monthly charts, making the platform adaptable for both short-term and long-term trading strategies.
  • The Drawing Tools feature allows you to annotate charts with trend lines, support/resistance levels, and other technical analysis tools.
  • The web version supports multi-chart views, enabling you to analyse different markets simultaneously within the same window.

Trading Panel (Toolbox)

The Trading Panel at the bottom of the web interface displays key information like your open trades, account balance, equity, and margin.

Key Features:
  • Trade Tab: Monitor all your active trades and pending orders. You can modify, close, or place new trades directly from this tab.
  • History Tab: View your trade history and account activity. This includes details of closed positions, deposits, withdrawals, and commissions.
  • Order Placement: The “New Order” button is accessible from both the trading panel and the chart, allowing you to place market, limit, and stop orders quickly.
  • Economic Calendar: The web platform also includes an economic calendar, giving you insight into upcoming economic events that could affect market conditions.
Extras:
  • Mobile Compatibility: The web trader is optimised for mobile devices, meaning you can trade on the go using your phone or tablet without losing functionality.
