The MT5 Mobile App provides all the essential tools for trading on the go, making it easy to stay connected to the markets and manage your trades directly from your mobile device. This guide covers the key sections of the app, including the Quotes, Charts, Trade, History, and Settings tabs, to help you navigate and master the app. 

Quotes Tab

The Quotes tab is the first screen you see when you open the MT5 mobile app, displaying real-time prices of your selected instruments. 

Key Features: 
  • Symbol List: Tap on any instrument to bring up its details and options to place a trade or open a chart. 
  • Advanced View: Switch to advanced mode for a more detailed view that includes spread, high/low prices, and time of the last quote. 
  • Add/Remove Symbols: Tap the “+” button to add more instruments to your watchlist or swipe left to remove an instrument.

Charts Tab 

The Charts tab provides an interactive way to analyse price movements. You can switch between different timeframes, apply technical indicators, and place trades directly from the chart. 

Key Features:
  • Chart Types: Tap the chart settings to switch between candlestick, bar, and line charts.
  • Timeframes: Choose from multiple timeframes ranging from 1 minute to 1 month, depending on your trading strategy. 
  • Indicators: Add technical indicators by tapping on the “f” icon at the top of the chart. You can choose from a wide variety of indicators such as Moving Averages, RSI, MACD, and Bollinger Bands.  
  • Zoom and Pan: Pinch to zoom in or out on the chart, and swipe to move across different sections of the price history. 

Trade Tab 

The Trade tab gives you a quick overview of your account status and all active positions. 

Key Features: 
  • Account Information: View real-time details of your balance, equity, margin, free margin, and margin level. 
  • Active Positions: See all your open trades, including their profit/loss and the option to modify or close them. 
  • Quick Trading: Tap the “+” button to open the trade order window where you can quickly place market, limit, or stop orders. 

History Tab

The History tab logs all your past trading activity, helping you review your performance and account history. 

Key Features: 
  • Custom Time Periods: Filter your history by day, week, month, or a custom date range. 
  • Detailed Trade Data: Review details of closed trades, including entry/exit prices, profit/loss, and any associated commissions.
  • Balance Operations: Check past deposits, withdrawals, and balance adjustments in this tab. 

Settings Tab

The Settings tab is where you can manage your accounts, alerts, and general app preferences.  

Key Features: 
  • Manage Accounts: Add, switch between, or remove trading accounts (both live and demo accounts) by tapping on “Accounts” at the top of the screen. 
  • Push Notifications: Enable push notifications for price alerts, trade execution confirmations, and other important updates. 
  • Custom Settings: Customise your chart appearance, time zone settings, and notification preferences to suit your trading style.
Extras:
  • Trade Directly from Quotes: Tap on any instrument in the Quotes tab and select “Trade” to open the order window. You can choose between market, limit, and stop orders and set risk management parameters like stop-loss and take-profit. 
  • Depth of Market (DOM): View the depth of market data directly from the Quotes tab (for supported instruments), allowing you to see available buy/sell volumes at different price levels. 
  • Risk Management: Set stop-loss, take-profit, and trailing stops when placing trades to help manage risk, just like on the desktop version. 

Mobile-Specific Tips 

  • Swipe Left for Quick Actions: Swipe left on any instrument in the Quotes tab to quickly access options like “Trade” or “Chart”. 
  • Quick Account Switch: In the “Settings” tab, you can quickly switch between multiple accounts, whether live or demo, by tapping on your account name at the top. 
  • Battery Saver Mode: Use the app’s “Battery Saver” mode to reduce power consumption during extended trading sessions by lowering chart update frequency. 

Order Types & Execution

  • Market Orders: Execute trades instantly at the best available price. 
  • Limit Orders: Set a buy or sell order at a specific price. 
  • Stop Orders: Place an order that triggers once the instrument reaches your set price. 
  • One-Click Trading: Enable one-click trading for faster trade execution directly from the chart or Quotes tab.
